CONFERENCE SPEAKERS
Dr. Sydney Reese Coleman is the physician who first observed and announced to the scientific community the amazing regenerative abilityof fat grafts and the associated stem cells. Since 1987, he has developedprocedures that utilize transplanted fat to not only fill faces and bodies.
Dr. Sydney Coleman is board certified in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is currently a member of the American Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Northeastern Society of Plastic Surgery, International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and a founding member of the International Consortium of Plastic Surgeons and the Harry Buncke Microsurgical Society.
Prof Kotaro Yoshimura is one of Asia’s most revered Fat Grafting experts. He graduated from The University of Tokyo in Japan in 1985 and joined the Department of Plastic Surgery in the same university.
He is the inventor of Cell Assisted Lipotransfer (CAL) a method of improving free fat transfer using adipose derived stem cells (ADSC). Dr. Kotaro Yoshimura was one of the first to implement an alternative to breast augmentation by safely grafting fat stem cells in 2006. In 2009, at the University of Tokyo, he was able to determine the adequate pressure for grafting ADSC more e ectively, paving the road to diverse applications for the future.
Dr Kim Siea Lee is a consultant Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeon in Carl Corrynton Medical Centre, Penang, Malaysia. He graduated from University of Malaya with MBBS degree in 1986 and obtained his post graduate diploma in general surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1990. In 1998, he left the Ministry of Health to join Loh Guan Lye Specialists Centre, Penang as the Consultant Plastic and Aesthetic Surgeon.
His practice includes surgical and nonsurgical facial rejuvenation, breast aesthetic and reconstruction, body contouring and eyelid surgeries. He was one of the pioneers in using form stable anatomical implants in breast augmentation and reconstruction. He is also very much involved in lipotransfer of the breasts and buttocks and advocate simultaneous use of implant and fat graft to achieve optimum results in breast aesthetics.
Dr. Bülent Cihantimur, MD has been mentioned in several academic papers for developing techniques like Non-Surgical Trigger Finger Treatment, Threaded Spider Web Aesthetics, Cihantimur Fat Transfer, Threaded Cosmetic Protruding Ear Surgery, Genital Rejuvenation and Simple Nose Aesthetics.
In 2014, Dr. Cihantimur was chosen Turkish Physician of the Year and given the International Golden Bistoury, an award given to persons who have made extraordinary contributions to cosmetic surgery. Dr. Cihantimur was also listed as one of the World’s Top 50 Plastic Surgeons.
Dr. Kyoung-Jin Kang is the Director of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Department of Wallace Memorial Baptist Hospital, Busan, Korea. He is the founder of Korean College of Cosmetic Surgery. Graduated from Chonbuk National University in 1990, he obtained a PhD in human anatomy. He also further specialised in anatomy of cosmetic surgery and worked as a professor for Catholic University of Daegu, Korea.
One of his accomplishments is the invention of SAFI (Sequential Autologous Fat Injection) technique in facial fat transfer and he has published a book describing his technique. Dr. Kang has also developed ASTi (Anti-aging Sequential Thread Insertion) dual plan approach technique which considers the action mechanism of various types of threads, functional anatomy and aging of the forehead, soft tissue foundation, and gravity. He also developed ASTi PDO kits for the lifting of forehead, mid-face, lower face and neck, which was designed to be easily used for beginner doctors.
Dr. Tsai-Ming Lin is the director of Charming Plastic Institute, Taiwan and inventor of the MAFT Gun with more than 20 years of fat grafting procedure experience under his belt. His specialities are in Micro-autologous fat transplantation (MAFT), Stem Cell Research, Tissue Engineering, Plastic Surgery and Hyperbaric Medicine.
He is an expert on Stem Cell Research and was part of the Stem Cell Research group in Michigan State University, US from 2003-2004. From 1991 to 2006, he had won dozens of awards including the Best Chief Resident of Kaohsiung Medical University Hospital and the 7th ROYAN International Research Award in Iran.
Dr Edwin Chang is an aesthetic physician, with more than 15 years of professional experience. In addition to his private practice, he is a senior lecturer in in Academy of Family Physician in Malaysia in charge of Aesthetic Medicine lecture, a certified Lumenis instructor for IPL and Lasers and certified trainer for botox and juvederm. He has spent many years actively involved in educating young doctors in the aesthetic and dermatology care.
Dr Edwin holds a special interest in non or minimal invasive aesthetic procedures such as laser, radio frequency, chemical peels, fat transfer, botox, fillers and suspension thread. He transcended his aesthetic practice by bringing his own unique blend of surgery and philosophy. Recognized as an authority & popular professional in his area of expertise, Dr Edwin is constantly sought after by national and local media for scientific analysis & interpretations of new developments in the field of aesthetic medicine & surgeries.
Dr. Kasey Sung, MD is the director in chief & consultant of LiLac Academy of Body-Sculpturing Surgery in South Korea. He is specialised in Body-Contouring Liposuction Surgery, Lipoplastic Surgery, Autologous Fat Graft Surgery, Fat Stem Cell Therapy & Rejuvenation Surgery and Diet & Exercise Consultation.
